The history of the Garden Park Sigurtà finds its origins in 1407 when a nobleman, Nicolò Contarini, bought all the land ownership that, at the time, had an exclusively agricultural function. Over time the park had several owners, until arriving in 1941 with the Sigurtà family.
In spring of 1941 the agricultural property become a wonderful park.
Thanks to the passion of the Sigurtà family, the garden revived the beauty that distinguished it, and also slowly emerged the majesty of some secular plants.
The Eremo, the Castelletto and the Grotta Votiva were also restructured, with the aim of keeping the function of historic garden. The garden was not only embellished, but also grew in size: from 22 hectares to the currently 60 hectares. Today the park-garden is made available to organize, participate or attend events. You can also visit the park, by walk to discover the beauty of its landscapes, by the train in a path of 35 minutes accompanied by a guide, or by bicycle. You can access the park with your own bike without cost after doing the entrance ticket. For information, bookings, guided tours, events, see the website.
