The castle is one of the most interesting examples, in northern Italy, of Renaissance architecture. It is the only pre-Palladian villa surrounded by medieval walls overtaken by majestic merlons. It is located in the center of the city of the Venetian countryside between Treviso and Venice. At the end of 1800 the castle was bought by the family of the Ciani Bassetti, which still owns the property.
Today thanks to a wonderful restoration, the castle has been transformed into a wonderful location dedicated to the reception. Both inside the old guard towers and throughout the building, are available several rooms all finely furnished. Staying at the castle of the manor will allow the guest to immerse themselves in the life of the Venetian villa.
The castle’s halls and the barchesse, which surround the historic garden, are the ideal location for events such as banquets and weddings. Moreover, in spring and autumn, it is possible to visit the castle on the occasion of the market of the handicraft of quality, of objects of art and of florovivaisti with more than 80 exhibitors.
Every year the castle hosts many visitors, curious to explore the ancient halls and to know the centuries of history. During the tour you can visit the Villa and the private chapel, it is also possible to visit the wine cellar and discover the aging process. You can also do a wine tasting of five wines that you choose. For information, bookings, guided tours, events, see the website.
