Dante Alighieri spent several years of his exile in Verona. His son, Pietro, came to love the beauty of the city and its countryside, and so decided to remain in the area, purchasing the propriety in 1353. Twenty-one generations later, both house and estate still belong to Dante’s direct descendants, the Counts Serego Alighieri. Since 1973, they have been collaborated with Masi company, leader for the production of Amarone. Today, the Villa stands surrounded by Valpolicella vineyards, the center of traditional farming activities associated with a large and flourishing estate with the nearby Foresteria providing accommodation for guests.
The structure has 8 apartment for his guests, the apartments are well-furnished, they have any kind of comfort, they are the perfect solution for the couple, the group of people and the families.
There are guided tour of the estate, in this occasion you can discover the history of Valpolicella, the technicians of the wine-making thanks to a walk in the park of the villa, “fruttai” of drying and the ageing wine cellar. You can taste in “La Rivendita” the Serego Alichieri, Bossi Fedrigotti and Masi wines.
Thanks to the large rooms and the wonderful garden it is possible to organize in Villa Serego Alighieri any type of event such as weddings, gala dinners, business dinners, congresses, conventions and so forth.
